Bradley Home Furnishings believes in putting Customer Service first, so we have created a website that is uncluttered, customer friendly and very easy to navigate. To help you better understand how we operate and what to expect from your purchase though, we have compiled a list of "Frequently Asked Questions" below. You will usually find the answer to your question here. Please feel free to call us with any other questions or concerns you may have. Our normal hours of operation are from 8:00am to 5:00pm (PST) Mon - Fri.
1. Why is your furniture so inexpensive?
We sell direct from the importer to the end user. We have no high rent showrooms, we stock no inventory, we do not have a large sales staff, and we enjoy discounts from our suppliers due to volume - which means very little overhead. This we pass along to the customer in substantial savings!
2. Why do you Not have a showroom?
We offer thousands of items on our website which would take a showroom the size of a football field to display everything we sell. Naturally if we had to incur that kind of overhead we would not be able to offer such outstanding prices. Much of what we sell is not exclusive to BHF, so you might be able to see the same items we sell at your local furniture store – just for a lot more money.
3. I'm a little apprehensive about buying furniture online. Why should I buy from you?
It's understandable to be a little bit apprehensive about buying anything online. Here are just a few reasons we know your experience will be a good one though. 1) We are one of the longest established online furniture stores. 2) Our staff is extremely knowledgeable and is familiar with the products we sell. 3) We can count our dissatisfied customers on one hand – not too bad for 15 years in business. 4) You can just about always reach us during normal business hours, no routine answering machines or voicemail. 5) Although we have a huge selection on our website, should you not be able to find exactly what you are looking for, we can source it out for you. Only a small fraction of what we actually sell is on our website. 6) We enjoy what we do, and it reflects in dealing with our customers. Nothing is more gratifying to our staff than getting a call or email from another customer that is extremely pleased with their purchase and service.
4. How long does it take to get my furniture once I place an order?
Depending on your location, Southern CA delivery can be as soon as next day to a maximum of 7 days normally, providing your selection is in stock. For Southern CA deliveries our trucks follow a specific delivery schedule, so actual delivery days and times may vary. Keep in mind; we use our own drivers to assure our local customers a safe, courteous and careful delivery. For out of state shipping, transit time is normally between 5-21 days from the time your furniture leaves our warehouse.
5. Do I have to buy entire sets of furniture or can I purchase items individually?
Yes, you can buy items individually in almost all cases. If you see that the piece has a separate price from the set, you can buy it individually.
6. Does your furniture require assembly?
Although many of our items are already assembled, some furniture may require assembly. Assembly is easy and any necessary tools and simple instructions are always included. Items such as dressers, night stands, chests, armoires etc. do come assembled. Dining sets, occasional sets, desks, beds, in almost every case do require assembly. Bradley Home Furniture does not assemble any merchandise as part of your standard delivery charge.
7. What if my furniture arrives damaged?
If any part of the order is found to be damaged or defective within 48 hours of delivery, due to factory defect or delivery, we will gladly exchange or replace the damaged part or piece depending on the situation. IMPORTANT: Please do not discard furniture packaging until you are certain there is no damage to the furniture. No furniture can be exchanged or refunded without it’s original factory packaging. For out of state deliveries, if boxes are damaged be sure to indicate this on the Bill of Lading you sign at delivery.
8. Is there a local retail outlet or warehouse where I can see your furniture?
We do not have a showroom. Our website is our showroom. What you see is what you get. You might be able to view furniture we sell at your local retail furniture store (usually for much more money). We sell exclusively from our online website only which is how we keep our prices down.
9. How much do you charge for local delivery?
Our delivery charges are very reasonable. Delivery charges vary depending on what you are purchasing and where you live in reference to our distributors. Please check with customer service for a quote. Non-Local: *We also offer shipping anywhere in the U.S. Please call for shipping quotes. Rates are based on total size/weight/distance of order and certain geographic locations.
10. What does local delivery include?
For local deliveries, our courteous drivers will deliver your furniture inside the front door of your residence or garage. For liability purposes they do not take furniture up or down stairs inside the residence. They do not assemble furniture or take it out of it’s original factory packaging. We do not remove old furniture or move your existing furniture from one room to another. Should you require furniture taken up flights of stairs or assembled, we can accommodate. Ask your representative for rates. Our delivery drivers are all covid compliant.
11. Why do you NOT offer Free Shipping?
Unlike a lot of online dealers we use a number of freight carriers and brokers to source out the absolute best shipping prices. We charge you what we get charged and in most cases we subsidize the freight costs. If you are getting “free” shipping somewhere else you are paying more for your furniture as other dealers build the price of shipping into their selling price, whereas we do not. If you compare apples to apples you will find our prices (even with shipping charges where applicable) lower than other dealers who offer “free” shipping.
12. Do bedroom sets include mattresses as shown in pictures?
The mattresses that are shown with the bedroom sets are for DISPLAY PURPOSES only and are NOT included unless otherwise stated. Mattresses are available for purchase within our local delivery area. Non-local customers would need to purchase mattresses separately from a store in your area with exception of memory foam mattresses which we can ship.
13. Do you charge Sales Tax?
We only charge sales tax to our California customers.
14. What methods of payment do you accept?
Check, Visa, Master Card, Discover & American Express.
(Please note all out of state checks will be subject to a clearance hold of 10 days before inventory is shipped).
15. Do you offer Financing?
We offer 90 Days Same as Cash, as well as 12 Month financing (NO Credit Check) All you need to qualify is a checking account in good standing with 3 months of sufficient history, been employed for 6 months, and a valid state I.D. 16. Is your furniture made of real wood?
The majority of our furniture is made from Rubberwood*, along with Oak, Walnut, Birch and other durable hardwoods.
*What is Rubberwood?
• Rubberwood is a hardwood from the maple family of woods.
• Rubberwood has very little tendency to warp or crack.
• Rubberwood is Eco-Friendly!
Rubberwood is often the most misunderstood species of wood in the furniture industry. The name rubberwood invokes a variety of misconceptions as to it’s features and to it’s durability. Rubberwood (also called Parawood in Thailand) is the standard common name for the timber of Hevea brasiliensis.
In fact, rubberwood is one of the more durable lumbers used in the manufacturing of today’s home furnishings. As a member of the maple family, rubberwood has a dense grain character that is easily controlled in the kiln drying process. Rubberwood has very little shrinkage making it one of the more stable construction materials available for furniture manufacturing. Like maple, rubberwood is a sap producing species. In the case of maple, it is sap; in the case of rubberwood, it is latex. Rubberwood produces all the latex used in the world for all rubber based products.
There is one more important feature of rubberwood that is very important in today’s world. Rubberwood is the most ecologically “friendly” lumber used in today’s furniture industry. After the economic life of the rubber tree, which is generally 26-30 years, the latex yields become extremely low and the planters then fell the rubber trees and plant new ones. So, unlike other woods that are cut down for the sole purpose of producing furniture, rubberwood is used only after it completes it’s latex producing cycle and dies. This wood is therefore eco-friendly in the sense that we are now using what was going as waste.
Do not mistake the name rubberwood when it comes to its quality features.

As can be seen, these properties compare well with those of conventional hardwoods . Thus we have the ideal substitute with the major difference that Rubberwood is cheaper, more plentiful and Eco-Friendly.
17. What if my furniture arrives and I don’t like it?
Well fortunately for both of us – that rarely happens. In all the years we have been selling furniture online there is but a small handful of people who did not like their furniture. We constantly get comments back from our customers how surprised they were at the quality of their furniture. Because our prices are so low people sometimes associate it with poor quality. This could not be further from the truth. We only sell from manufacturers and distributors that stand behind their products and have an excellent track record of customer satisfaction.
However, should for whatever reason you find you do not want/like the furniture upon arrival – you can return it with these conditions:
All furniture must be in its original factory packaging. You will be charged delivery charges both directions plus 20% of the cost of furniture. Reason being, we do not stock any furniture. We purchase the furniture from our suppliers after you have made your purchase from us. Our suppliers charge US a 20% re-stocking fee to bring it back. This is standard practice among most furniture dealers.
